Entry 1: I See, I Think & I Wonder When I hear the words social studies, there are quite a few things that come to mind. Dates, presidents, wars, battle, and treaties are just a couple of the things that popped into my head. As usual, I am sure that you have certain words or phrases that come to mind when you think of the words social studies . For this journal entry I decided to choose three articles tilted, What is Social Studies, Curriculum Standards, and Deep and Fragile Knowledge . Entry 2: I See,I Think & I Wonder As I read each article, I notice a few things that caught my attention. The first article, What is Social Studies, I noticed that social studies are more than just history or geography. It is multidisciplinary and consists of humanities, political science, geography, sociology, psychology and much more.
